Environmental/Pollution

HYDROFRACKING RAISES MANY ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES.

There are issues concerning air and water purity. Hydrofracking involves the use of one million gallons of water per well. Many of the substances which come out of the ground with the water are radioactive as well as potentially toxic. This raises issues with respect to transportation of the materials over the roads, water aquifers, air quality, and issues that are probably not even known.

Pollution and Environmental Damage

The folks who live in North Central Pennsylvania will have to deal with the results of hydrofracking and the environmental consequences of Marcellus Shale drilling for decades to come. Many of the most onerous problems associated with the environmental sequelae from Marcellus Shale drilling may not be known for years to come. We have attempted to stay up on changes in laws and regulations addressing environmental concerns. Even the industry is concerned about disposal and transportation of the water. It is certainly unclear how water contaminated with radioactive products is going to be stored, transported, and disposed of.
