Our office has been deeply involved in such litigation. In fact, there are orange markers on PP&L lines across the Susquehanna River south of Allenwood. These markers were specifically placed on the wires because of a case brought by Cliff Rieders against PP&L. There are certainly federal regulations requiring the marking of wires so many feet above the water within a certain distance of an airport. It was contended that those wires were not properly marked and hence the remedy to the power lines was effectuated. We have also handled cases as both lead and cooperating counsel. There are cases where we will want to work with specialized aviation counsel. These cases can also involve manufacturing defects in airplanes or airplane engines, recall of products and incorporation of defective products in the airplane. These cases may also involve actions at airports which may or may not involve federal jurisdiction. We have represented any number of foreign individuals who have been injured or killed in the United States or in foreign territories. Regardless of where the incident occurs, local residents may be affected and require counsel. We were involved with a number of the unfortunate Flight 800 cases filed in federal court.
